πŸš— Day 1: Marrakech β†’ High Atlas β†’ Ait Ben Haddou β†’ Ouarzazate β†’ Zagora

Driving time: about 7 to 8 hours
Distance: approx. 360 km

Early pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains with panoramic stops overlooking Berber villages. Visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for international films.

After lunch near the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate and then drive south through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest palm oasis, passing ksar villages and old kasbahs. Arrive in Zagora in the late afternoon.

Overnight:
Hotel or riad in Zagora with dinner and breakfast.


🏜️ Day 2: Zagora β†’ Mhamid β†’ Erg Chegaga Camel Trek

Driving time: about 5 to 6 hours, including off-road

After breakfast, drive to Mhamid, the last village before the Sahara. From here, continue off road by 4×4 across desert plains, dry lake beds, and sand tracks toward Erg Chegaga.

Arrive near the dunes in the afternoon. Meet your camel team and begin a camel trek at sunset across the dunes. Reach the desert camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music by the campfire, and a peaceful night under the stars.

Driving time: about 8 to 9 hours
